MOCA's SUMMER KICKOFF

Most of us know the Museum of the Chinese in the Americas (MOCA). Today they had their summer kickoff for their new location.

The museum however won't be fully opened to the public until September 22nd. From now, through the summer, it will be opened on select dates for certain programs like the Chinatown Film Festival.

The MOCA's original location on the corner of Bayard and Mulberry streets will be kept as an archive for researchers. I will be so sad to see them move to their new location though it is very beautiful. I like having them closer to CICF!

Architect Maya Lin designed the new space and it is breathtaking.

The museum is family friendly and great for those of all ages. Check it out.
